My name is Houke de Kwant, I am 22 years old and I am currently living nearby Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I am studying Communication and Multimedia Design (last year) at Hogeschool Rotterdam. Since my 17th I developed my interest in graphic design & front end development. For the front end development, I started simpel with the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Over the years I increased my skills and now I am playing around with HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery. (I really love the possibilities of HTML5 and CSS3). For my graphic design skills I focussed on webdesign till I started my education in CMD. I discovered my interest in photo manipulation and typography, and in my spare time I try to improve my skills for these interests.

Currently I am spending a lot of my time improving my wordpress skills and for school I started programming some Android applications to get a taste of that too, but my main focus is still the front-end development. My ambition in life is to, one day, be able to spend all my time on Daily Inspiration, my blog which has grown a lot over the years. This is the place where I test all the new things which are possible with HTML5 and CSS3. A lot of them never get to the life version of DI, most of the time because the things I do are only supported by Chrome (nightly versions) but it is still cool to play with. And who knows, maybe one day they will get to the live version, cause I save all things I play with.

Important: At the moment I am in my last year of school, which means that I need a place for my final internship starting at february 2013 till ~june 2013. For that I have to do research and create at least a prototype for that what I researched.
